RE: minimum HD space

The amount of space depends entirely upon what it is that you install. I
know this sounds like a lame answer (I thought it was when people kept
giving it to me when I asked this question). However, it is just about the
only way to answer the question. There are so many "optional" items for the
Linux distributions that your install could take from 50 Megs - 2,000 Megs.
It really all depends on what it is that you want the system to do. Maybe
if you can give us an idea of what you are looking to do, someone here can
give you an estimate on the space it will take.

Subject: minimum HD space

What is the minimum HD space required to install Linux 6.2 and
have room for a few applications? I have a 386 I'm going to use but
don't know if there is enough hard drive space. The box sets the
requirements at 500 MB. Is that enough?
