Re: LILO & MBR Woes

     SJ,

     I had this same problem with 6.2 because I didn't have a boot
     partition within the first 1024 cylinders. I thought this has been
     corrected in LILO, but maybe I'm wrong or RH7 doesn't include the
     updated LILO.

Ok folks,

I have to plead guilty to using the Redhat 7 disks out of "Redhat Linux
7 Unleashed so that may be part of the problem, but.....

I installed Redhat 7 on my new harddrive and had no problems with the
installation itself. The problem has arose when I rebooted after
install. LILO is not coming up. It is booting into Windoze instead of
giving me an option.

hda1 = Win98 Partion
hda2 = Win98 Partion
hda3 = Linux Extended Partion
hda4 = BSD Partion
hda5-hda9 = Linux Partions within hda3

In the install I told it to install LILO and put it in the MBR, so what
am I doing wrong?

Any suggestions, folks?

TIA
