HP Storage Works DLT VS80 is not detected

Hi...!

I install DLT VS80 tape drive  on my machine i.e: HP Proliant DL380 G3.

The machine can detect the tape drive while doing POST ( BIOS). However
The tape drive can not be detected by the OS.
How to overcome these problem? 

These is my  machine configuration

1. Machine Model: HP Proliant DL380 G3
2. Tape Drive : Hp Storage Works DLT VS80 
3. OS    : Redhat ES  3
