General Problems

It will probably be obvious when I get there (home) but what should it look like for each instance (using Comcast and using my sendmail).

That's the issue.  Your machine is trying to send the outgoing email
outside of Comcast's network and they're blocking it.  So, the outgoing
mail can't be delivered and your machine logs an error which gets sent
back to your mail client (Mozilla or Evolution or whatever).

The settings in Mozilla are in:

     Edit->Mail and Newsgroup Account Settings->Outgoing Server

In Evolution, they're in:

     Tools->Mail Accounts

Select an account and click "Edit".  The outgoing server is in the
"Sending Mail" tab.
