mount error

im pretty sure it's a simple and noobish question, but
im trying to mount a cdrom I burned at home, and I get
the error: "mount: not a directory", so im wondering
do I have to copy everything inside a directory then
burn the directory?

im using my "mount /mnt/cdrom" in my root shell.
