FC2 wireless config without ndiswrapper

Hi,
Wy wife bought herself a new machine. She wants to run Linux so of
course she got me involved. We have FC2 installed and the wired
interface working so I am writing this email from her new box.

   lspci shows the following device:

01:02.0 Network controller: Intersil Corporation Prism 2.5 Wavelan
chipset (rev 01)

This is another DWL-520 like in my son's FC2 machine, but it's a
different controller. His 520 uses a Realtek 802.11b controller. So
much for getting a card by model number...

Anyway, kudzu recognized the controller and installed a driver.
When it's modprobed I see the following in dmesg.

orinoco.c 0.13e (David Gibson <hermes at gibson.dropbear.id.au> and others)
orinoco_pci.c 0.13e (David Gibson <hermes at gibson.dropbear.id.au> &
Jean Tourrilh es <jt at hpl.hp.com>)

Not good. I tried switching to ndiswrapper but the machine hangs
totally and I have to pull the power plug when I modprobe that driver,
so no ndiswrapper right now.

Either way I've copied the config script from my son's machine to this
machine and changed the IP address and hardware address to match the
card, but I don't think I'm getting that far.

My question is what is this driver that's getting installed? Is this a
native Linux driver? Does anyone know what it's complaining about
here?

Thanks in advance.
