GRUB Single User Mode

When the grub menu is on the screen, select the line representing the system you 
want to boot and press 'e' (edit). This should open the grub commands for 
editing. Move to the kernel line of the boot sequence and hit 'e' again. Append 
the word 'single' to that line and hit 'enter'. Then press 'b' to boot.
