First I installed 1.4.2. Then I found out I can not use. I uninstall
1.4.2.
After I uninstall - java -version is still giving me 1.4.2.
I uninstall 1.4.2. using rpm -e .... Still can't removed. How will I
forced get removed.
Thanks in advance.

Removed what via RPM? The application?

> And install 1.3.1 - 1.4.2 is stuck. WHY?

If you didn't uninstall jre-1.4.2, jre-1.3.1_18 won't install because
you already have a later version on the system. What you have to do is
uninstall 1.4.2 first, THEN install 1.3.1_18.
