mailx is NOT a program. If you were to do an "rpm -qil mailx" on your
system, you'd see something like:

[root at prophead ~]# rpm -qil mailx
Name : mailx Relocations: (not relocatable)
Version : 8.1.1 Vendor: Red Hat, Inc.

Summary : The /bin/mail program for sending quick email messages.
Description :
The mailx package installs the /bin/mail program, which is used to send
quick email messages without opening up a full-featured mail user agent.
Mailx is often used in shell scripts.
/bin/mail
/etc/mail.rc
/usr/bin/Mail
/usr/lib/mail.help
/usr/lib/mail.tildehelp
/usr/share/man/man1/Mail.1.gz
/usr/share/man/man1/mail.1.gz

If you notice, the only executable is "/bin/mail". So, to send mail
you'd use:

	mail -s "Subject Line" address-to-send-mail-to

Then type in the mail you want to send, and end it with a "CTRL-D".
