screen resolution

Can you send a screen shot of it????

I am running RHEL 3 and 4 , but it should work for 5 as well

Hi John,

What I usually do is just manually add in 1024x768 into the xorg.conf file!!!

vi xorg.conf
you will see - Modes "800x600" "640x480" - etc...
where you see/have the above line add "1024x768" in front of the other screen res. modes then wq (write quit) and that should give you the option plus manually or automatically change it to 1024x768! Should look like this:

Modes       "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"

I'm not exactly sure what enforces this but during the installation you get to pick the maximum screen resolution you are interested in. After the system has been installed you need to edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf to enable higher resolutions.

I myself would love to know the right utility to use after the installation for this task.
