Hi Pete,

Thanks for the help.  I answered part of this in another post, but I
just re-read your post and it got me thinking.  I may be doing
something wrong when I try to install the MBR on the new disk.  I ran
linux rescue with only the new drive in there (with the restored
files).  When linux rescue tried to mount it, it failed.

But it sounds like you're suggesting I manually mount the file system?
 I don't think I know how to do that.  Could you point me to where
might have that documentation?
