I have a couple of DL380's with internal tape drives, they are HP/Compaq
Dat 20/40i (DDS-4). Is it plugged into the hot swap bay, and if so does
the box have a hardware RAID card in it? (Mine have SmartArray 5i's.)
If so, you'll need to do some tweaking to get the kernel to see the tape
drive. Let me know if this is the case and I'll locate my notes on the
subject.
