Another Newbie........

Hi all,

I'm a newbie looking for a bit of advice please! 

I have been through a lot of the FAQs and can't see the answers to some of
the questions I have. 

Is there a way of creating a dump site eg in case of a kernel panic?
Are there any tools such as explorer on Solaris or SysInfo on HP-UX where
system information is held in a single file?
