help with perl on redhat

I am getting this error when I try to use the Validator:

I reinstalled Perl 5.8.3 and tried it again. Still getting the same errors - looks like it is trying to use the older perl??, is there a way to tell it to use 5.8.3?  It is going to the old perl path, how can I point it to the newer perl?  Thank you for your help.
