No route to host

I think it's a DNS problem.
In my setup the domain shows up in 
AUTHORITY section ie.
mydomain.com 259200 IN NS ns.mydomain.com  (remark ns..= my nameserver.)
And in ADDITIONAL SECTION I get this
ns.mydomain.com 259200 IN A IP x.x.x.x of your name server.
You must define a zone for your domain in /etc/named.conf
