Creating a link in RPM spec file

This looks questionable. You should be in the proper directory already.
No need to use $RPM_BUILD_DIR explicitly.

You should be installing into a buildroot, e.g.
Buildroot: %{_tmppath}/%{name}-%{version}-%{release}-root-%(%{__id_u} -n)

None. It's a general build script section.
