Stuart,

thanks for the quick reply. I am going to assume that /dev/sda2 is my root
filesystem - right?

--- snip ---

$ df -k
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda2            151723100   3861340 140154580   3% /
/dev/sda1               101089     35938     59932  38% /boot
none                    512700         0    512700   0% /dev/shm

--- snip ---

now my /etc/fstab looks like this:

--- snip ---

/dev/sda2               /                       ext3    defaults        1 1
LABEL=/boot             /boot                   ext3    defaults        1 2
none                    /dev/pts                devpts  gid=5,mode=620  0 0
none                    /proc                   proc    defaults        0 0
none                    /dev/shm                tmpfs   defaults        0 0
/dev/sda3               swap                    swap    defaults        0 0
/dev/cdrom              /mnt/cdrom              udf,iso9660
noauto,owner,kudzu,ro 0 0

--- snip ---

cheers,

Noah
