Need smart IDE for C/C++ in RH9

Yes, I did every try JDE for java, it's pretty good, as same as a
professional IDE. But the default C-MODE for C/C++ make me a little
disappointed. Maybe I must do something extra to make it as good as JDE?
Could you share your experience of setting it up?

In fact, I just want to get a overview of my project, global variables,
typedefs, function prototypes, and jump into their definitions in
convenience, so I mustn't open many files to find out, "Hey, what does
that funcion name spell? "
