./cancel.1.gz: No such file or directory

Hello,

I get these e-mailed to me (root).....

/etc/cron.weekly/makewhatis.cron:

zcat: ./cancel.1.gz: No such file or directory

I found Bug 136973 that is about this problem, but I don't understand
the work-around (if there is one).  I don't use cups (the service is
off).  I guess comment 4 says I should change a sym link but I don't
know where/how.

Anything else I can do to stop these errors?
