Hi all

I have an issue with winbindd authentication and I was wondering if
anyone had a similar problem or can help me.

I currently have a Redhat Linux 2.6.9-5.EL #1 Wed Jan 5 19:22:18 EST
2005 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux box and its main role is a squid proxy
2.5.STABLE6 users connect to this proxy server and authenticate via krb
authentication against the domain.

Samba version 3.0 is running and I have configured the smb.conf to
authenticate against the domain.

Squid is configured with NTLM authentication helpers and all are running

I have tested winbindd with the wininfo -a domain/username%password and
it fails on basic and ntlm authentication

BACKGROUND this is a new build and previously I have install and set the
above setup working on Linux *******2.4.21-20.ELsmp #1 SMP Wed Aug 18
20:46:40 EDT 2004 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

The only errors I get are in messages

[2005/09/19 16:47:09, 0] nsswitch/winbindd_util.c:get_trust_pw(1034)

winbindd[2180]: get_trust_pw: could not fetch trust account password
for my domain ****

Does anyone no what I am doing wrong or is this to do with the new
version of samba or Redhat?

Thanks
