Monthly Reboots Needed of not?

Andrew,
There is no need to reboot your servers monthly; whom ever told you that
is 100% wrong; even windows servers don't necessarily need to be
rebooted monthly (although it's amazing how many issues are "fixed"
after rebooting a windows machine); I've found the only need to reboot
our linux servers is after updating the kernel, and that is just because
I want the boxes to use the new kernel;

My manager would hang me if I did that. I reboot after six months, but
I'm sure I could go one year betewwn reboots. I see no memory leaks, or
loss of effiency on this schedule.
