Server performance (local network) very slow on slow internet link

Dear All,

We have Msql loaded with linux.

It is working fine.

As soon as we connect the dialup the response of the server goes down.

Some time 20 minutes to respond the query and login.

Again if we disconnect the dialup the normal conditions are restored
immeditely.

The response is again in seconds.

I have not configured DNS there.

What should be check ???
