top output: 8 cpus busy in user-mode activities, 6 processes running

Thanks for the suggestion, but I am thinking that the cpu matrix and the 
process listing are the same 'top'  snap shot, and therefore, the cpu 
cycles on the matrix should match the process listing exactly.  What do 
you think?  Is this not correct and it is still a timing issue?
