[CentOS] Battery status indicator in CentOS 4.4

Thanks, but how do I install the battery app on the gnome panel?
I see that battery.ko is in lib/modules/..../acpi (together with lots
of .png images in other folders) but how do I get it working on the
gnome panel? Do I have to yum install acpi or what?
