Getting the bootloader to display so I can boot different OS

Hello David,

It sounds your machine boots via runlevel 1 to runlevel 5.
Then the splashscreen will not be visible.

Try it with the command 'reboot', maybe that works better.
That's my experience with RHES4 machines.
