Proxy

i go thru a proxy server, it needs authentication - uname and passwd. i
edited the /etc/wgetrc with vim and added this

http_proxy=myproxy:myport
proxy_user=myuname
proxy_passwd=mypasswd

but when i start wget and enter url: 407 proxy authentication required.

Any suggestions?
