May I suggest you take a look at Zmanda (< http://www.zmanda.com/ >)?

The community edition download is shell command driven whereas you get
a GUI if your organization does buy the enterprise edition.  I usually
use Zmanda's free ZRM for MySQL to backup and restore customers'
pertinent databases.
