Strange filesystem errors

Periodically we will get strange filesystems entries.;

We generally track them down by doing a 'find / -size 0', the entries return
an 'input/output error'. Does anyone know if there are any fs patches or
anything that would help track this down. It is an ext3 filesystem. We are
running 2.6.9-78.0.1.ELsmp.
