Of course, close source proprietary kernels, can only be
paravirtualized by its close source proprietary vendor owner.  Hence,
MS HyperV will probably run Win kernels paravirtualized to increase
its os performance.

 On the other hand, Xen will only run an WinXX instance fully
virtualized --at a performance penalty.  However, there are
organizations like Citrix, which acquired the open source vendor
XenSource, that have licensed drivers to make WinXX instances perform
better on Xen.  And Novell also licensed an similar set of drivers for
SuSE Linux Enterprise  (SLES) and SuSE Linux Enterprise Desktop
(SLED).
