Perl module install fails cause of wrong @INC path

	Search for INC.  Note the reference to -I.

man perlrun
	Search for PERL5LIB.
	Search for PERLLIB.

Add the perl directory to the beginning of your PATH:
export PATH="/path/to/new/perl:$PATH"

Be sure you export any other variables you set as well.
