How to use dump for remote backups

Hi,
# RSH=ssh
# echo $RSH
ssh
# dump -0uf 192.168.0.169:/dev/hda8 /boot
  DUMP: 192.168.0.169: Connection refused
  DUMP: login to 192.168.0.169 as root failed.

I think i need to setup some more settings for this. Can any one can help me
on this.
