FC File Type Default Application Handler

Hello,


I would like to know how can i permanently change the default 
application handler for a specific file type on my Linux FC4 Box.
(ie: for pdf file type 'application/*pdf*', i want to use acroread)

(i know that to change the default mail/web Client, i use:  
gnome-default-applications-properties command, although i am using kde 
not gnome !! )
