It's not just ease of management with btrfs.  Having those LVM features like
raid and snapshots at a file-system object level gives you things that
simply aren't possible with LVM.   I don't think it will make the management
of a system any more straightforward though -- you'll just have more knobs
to twiddle.  But fortunately less ways to lose your data.
