[rhelv6-beta-list] Any ideas about possible release date of RHEL6

I think the big difference here is that most of the technologies in RHEL6 have been in Beta for a while, in Fedora 11 and 12. It's really just the changes that Red Hat has done to them that have to be Beta-ed. I don't believe it will be in Beta until November/December.

And of those, not every bug will be solved before it goes gold, only those that Red Hat considers to be critical for the success of the product.

My .02.

for it.

Holy cow! That's barely long enough if it was just a minor release(5.4->5.5).

No way for a major new version.

Based on previous major versions of RHEL, your looking at about a 6 month beta minimum. We will have another beta or 2 and/or a release candidate before the final release.

I would guess more like November/December 2010 at the earliest.
