[rhelv6-list] ext4 /boot

Well, it appears that setting "bootloader --location mbr" fixed it. I'm
not sure why that makes a difference, nor do I remember why I switched
from mbr to partition many years ago...

Is your bootloader pointing to mbr or partition? Mine is partition... I
will try mbr (I think I already did before), too. 

Also, are you using a cciss device driver?
