Hi,

Sure you can. "Dead" migrations have no vendor limitation.

Temat: [rhelv6-list] Migration between vms in AMD and Intel cpus

Hi all,

I have a doubt about migrating vms between AMD and Intel chips and
viceversa. In RHEL docs
(http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/6/html/Virtualization/sect-Virtualization-Virtualization_limitations-KVM_limitations.html)
says is not possible to do a live migration if CPUs aren't from the same
vendor (that is, Intel to Intel or AMD to AMD only) on a RHEL6 KVM
hosts. Ok, but can I stop a vm installed on a AMD cpu and start it after
on a Intel KVM host or viceversa??

Thanks.
