Re: Trying to kill a process that just won't die...



Ok:

[root penguin root]# strace -p 11952
Process 11952 attached - interrupt to quit

Didn't show anything and then I had a hard time killing strace but I did do it.


Then:


[root penguin root]# gdb /bin/tar 11952

...then nothing...

b) attach with gdb and kill it that way
