I'm on FC5 for my laptop, FBSD on everything else. Personally, I think a
little open-source competition will be the best thing that's happened to
Linux in a long time. Plus, the Linux community can simply rip off any
code they like under the BSD license ;-)

People are saying the same thing about Linux vs Microsoft/MacOS. And
FreeBSD still is good stuff, it just depends what you want to do with
it. Horses for courses, as they say.
