Due to the satellite postscript character restrictions, I ran the post script manually. In this execution, the post script didn't run correctly. During the troubleshooting, I found out that the up2date and rhncfg* RPMs were never installed. After further investigation, we found out that the channel does not provide these packages. Please advice if these packages are deprecated or accidentally left off. If they are deprecated, please let me know which packages are replacing those.

This is a limitation of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 beta channels. We did
not provide the Network Tools channel during the beta release. And yum has
replaced up2date. So rhncfg* will be available when v5 gets released, but
up2date will not.
