FTP is mostly there but if you have set up a firewall it might be
disabled.

In Gnome go to System Settings and then select the Security Level tool
and make sure the FTP is enabled.

FTP should be located in /usr/bin/ftp ... If it is missing then you may
need to reload it..

I just got a machine with Redhat Linux Enterprise WS 3.0.  I noticed it
does not have an ftp server (except the one with Kerberos).  I am used
to Linux 8.0 and 9.0 which had the standard unix ftp server.  Why aren't
these included anymore?  WHere can I get them (I found some on the web
which would not compile under my version of Linux)
