[rhn-users] /var/log/messages empty (more info)

# lsof  | grep /var/log/messages


# lsof  | grep /var/log/secure
syslogd   26655     root    1w   REG        8,9      28488     160521 
/var/log/secure


So even after restarting syslogd it do not open the messages file
