This is likely why no one really uses that. After you've applied
updates to some of the packages what is on the CD (or wherever you are
pointing redhat-config-packages or system-config-packages) simply
often aren't in sufficient harmony.

After updating the system think of that menu item as worthless (I
think they should remove it from the menu actually). Use up2date
directly or go to RHN and select what you want to install and run
rhn_check to pick them up.
