Kathi,
I recommend looking up NTP. Its a standard way of keeping your clocks
synced. You'll want to use some of the public NTP servers like
time.nist.gov or the public ntp pool servers.
RH EL3 and 4 provide nice utilities for doing this automatically through
redhat-config-date or system-config-date.
