[rhn-users] linux upgrade on Dell Optiplex

Hi,

Currently running RHEL AS v.3 update 4 on a Dell Optiplex GX260. When
trying to upgrade to AS v.4 by booting to Main Installation screen and
typing in "linux upgrade", I get a Call Trace error when it tries to start anaconda and
the screen freezes. I get the same outcome when I do a fresh install.

I used the same installation cd on another machine (RM) and anaconda
started up fine.

Looked at hardware compatablity page and the Dell Optiplex GX260 is not
certified for v.4. It's not certified for v.3 either but it upgraded from
2.1 okay and runs fine.

Is there anyone out there who has successfully installed AS v.4 on a Dell
Optiplex GX260? Did you come across the same problem I did?
