[rhn-users] login hanging

Check you sar data (if you had it installed).  Perhaps you'll find some
pointers to resources that were used up.  Also don't forget to comb
through
you log/messages (and others) for clues.  Aside from an obvious error
message,
if all logs stopped recording data around the same time (prior to
reboot), 
that might help pin point the root cause.  Good luck...

re-booting did the trick.

auditd isn't running (it's an unrecognized service!) and /var/ isn't
full
though, so I am not sure what caused the problem.
