ifconfig -a

shows
    eth0 HDWR Address shows
    lo 127.0.0.1
    sit0 IPv6

/etc/init.d/dhcpd - does not exist
found:
/etc/log.d/scripts/services/dhcpd

no dhcpd service's running.

My NIC card is connecting to a Linksys 5 port switch. I have not done
any DNS configuration in linux, could this be the problem? RHN finds
the NIC Card just cant activate the connection. Fails trying to obtains
IP address.
