[rhn-users] building kernel with source rpm

Hi,

That seems not to be surprising. As far as I know you need at least a
686 processor (>>386!). I found that a PentiumPro (first to qualify as
686) that I keep for my website actually does work. Those systems should
also be available at low cost. Can you get one?

Be aware that these old systems seem to have also issues with aging
power supplies (electrolytic capacitors do age). Today they may not
allow all slots (memory and bus?) to be loaded and/or may require you to
remove one of the processors (if its a dual processor). Otherwise you
get frequent crashes for no apparent reason.
