[rhn-users] Tcsh and environment variables

Hi,

I've recently installed two new x86-64 HP workstations running RHE 3 WS
Update 5 and find that the environment variables HOSTTYPE, MACHTYPE,
VENDOR of users with tcsh as their default shell are all set to
"undefined". While mostly this is just irritating it does cause us some
more significant problems with a minority of tools and commands that use
these variables. 

Any suggestions on the cause of the problem and how I might be able to
resolve it would be appreciated.
