[rhn-users] How to add ABI modules to new kernel

Hi,

I have one Red Hat Linux server using RHL 7.3 (kernel 2.4.18-3) for 3rd party software IQ report (software Carsplus from www.thermeon.com) that required ABI modules. I had upgrade (using rpm -ivh) kernel to new kernel (kernel-smp-2.4.20-46.7.legacy), but found that the new kernel didn't contain abi modules and my IQ report server failed.

Error message (var/log/messages) report that the server can't locate abi modules (Loading abi-xxxxxx failed) , and I need to revert back to old kernel.

I figure out that any kernel above 2.4.20 are not include abi modules any more. Any reason why ?

Where can I get ABI modules to patch to new kernel and how to add that to new kernel ?

Thanks for any info.
