[rhn-users] internet configuration

Hi Sammy,
I've just answered another email explaining my position.
Please note I was not trying to be rude, but this is akin to a Windows
admin (or Tru64 UNIX admin, or HP-UX admin, or Solaris admin) coming
into this list and asking for help on any of those platforms.
Sure I know them all very well as I work with them every single day, and
I'm sure others would too, but that is not to say this is the
appropriate list to ask such questions. There are better suited mailing
lists for that.
Regards,
Michael.

Hi Michael,
I really do not understand your point.
I need to learn something about redhat linux.
And you tell me this is not the forum I should ask the question.
Don't you think you are kind of rude. Especially to newbies like me.
Sammy

Hi Bill,
My posts were not off-topic, the posts of the users were.
There comes a point when people get sick of receiving emails unrelated
to the subscribed email list. It's a waste of time and resources when
other lists related to the queries in question exist and can better help
the requestor.
This has been discussed before, and others have also voiced their
concerns that people "just aren't getting it".
If you have a better way of informing people this list is for RHN-only
queries, I'd suggest you make them yourself to the off-topic posters.
I can't see their direct email addresses, so the only way I can make
this clear is to post here, and I'll continue to do so.
Regards,
Michael.

Who died and made Michael king? I don't see @redhat in your email
address.
Michael, would you keep your off topic posts off this list. These posts
should be sent off-list to the user if you feel a strong personal need
to send them.
Thank you for your cooperation.

This list is for RHN users, not for general support.
Please search for the appropriate group for such questions.
Michael.
